DY Realty Services, LLC - Design and Deploy a Public Website
The primary objective of the DY Realty Services phase one Public Website was to establish their Website as the communication center for the business. The mission was to center the website as the place where customers, co-brokers, partners, and leads could do business with the firm. To accomplish  this the informu.com implementation team developed a multi-phase implementation plan. The first phase focused on delivering accurate and up to date information.

The first phase Public Website delivers the following information: Exclusive Properties,  DY Realty Services, About Us, History, Success Stories, Team contact information, Real Estate News & Events, Affiliates and Links. In addition to up to date information the phase one website was tightly integrated with a Request For Information (RFI) communication system.

Once the taxonomy was finalized the designers and business analysis design a Public Website presentation template set. The presentation templates include the navigation scheme, look & feel and page layout .  

The team's goal is always to design a navigation scheme that is cognitive, so the user finds information or links to information fluidly and effortlessly. A successful navigation scheme has no dead-ends that require the user to use the Back button of a browser.

The Look & Feel and the Page layout were designed to deliver a professional corporate image, to support the content plan and to deliver the website navigation. The Graphic artist, business analysis and system architect work to assure the templates meet the Public Website objectives, the content maintenance plan was well as work correctly with the content management system.

The final deliverable of this event were the Public Website template set which includes, all main pages, listing pages, detail pages for all communication formats, self service knowledge, Request for Information forms and the interactive forms.

The unique aspects of the DY Realty Services navigation scheme were:

• Properties -
  • Property Listing Pages: The first link to Properties returned all DY Properties available with the Exclusive Properties listed first, sorted in descending order by the "square footage available".  The Non-exclusive properties are listed below the exclusives and are also sorted by square footage available. Each property listing consist of a thumbnail photo which links to a Property Slideshow, the property title, which links to the property detail information webpage, and the property broker's name is linked  to a Request For Information form.  
  • Property Detail Pages: For each property there is a Property Detail information page which is linked from the Property Title of the Property Listing page. The Detail information page offers the user a 320 X 240 photo that links to the Property Slideshow, detailed information about the property, a link to a broker RFI form, a link to a property location map, link to a Printable Brochure, and emailable brochure, a faxable brochure and a wireless brochure. 
  • Property Slideshow: For each property the user is offered a photo slideshow. The Property Slideshow can be one or many photos of the property. The system provides a thumbnail navigation of each photo and Next and Previous links so the user can move from one 640 X 480 photo of the building to the next or return back to the previous.
  • Printable Brochure: The Printable Brochure template is maximized for printing. Layout, color, and channel specific content are factors in the development of the Printable Brochure template.
  • Faxable Brochure: A fax friendly property brochure is produced for all DY Realty Service fax customers. Typically the fax brochure is gray scale with no photos.
  • Emailable Brochure: a Multipart MIME email can be sent to all email customers and accessed by public site users to send to a colleague or friend.
  • Wireless Brochure - DY Services has not yet deployed a wireless template. This option is being considered in future phase.
  • Property Feeds - DY Services has not yet deployed an RSS  template. This option is being considered in future phase.
• Affiliates  -  The functional specifications for this section are as follows. The Affiliates listed on the DY Realty Services website are to be  Real Estate Professionals that DY Realty Services is recommending. The Affiliates links will include: Insurance, Financial, Architects, Legal, Environmental Specialists, building services professionals...and more as determined. When the public website user clicks an Affiliate link the system will return a webform requesting contact information from the user. Once the user submits the completed form the system returns a link to the Affiliates Detail information page. The Detail information page contains a description of the affiliates services, a link to the affiliates website and a RFI form. Behind the scenes when the user submits the information form the system sends an email notice to the affiliate and to DY management. This notice severs as a lead for the affiliate.
• Success Stories - The Success Story entries originate from the Property or Customer node they represent they are then shared to the DY Service node the success story represents and the DY Success Stories node. The System uses RSS tags to accomplish the correct share links.
