DY Realty Services, LLC - Integrate KnowledgeControl with ACT
One of the Content Mangement requirements of the DY Realty Services sytem was that property and customer information come from  DY Realty Services' ACT database which is their legacy contact and property listing management system. ACT will continue to be the database of record. The solution required that property listing data and customer lead data be pulled from ACT into the Content Management system for each Property digital file cabinet or Customer digital file cabinet created.
 
The development team designed and engineered a solution to meet the data requirements, business requirements and security requirements. The solution was a GET and PUT script that upon request from the Content Management UI would open a VPN connection to the remote ACT server and get the data that matched the request. The user would select the property or customer information from a search return that he wanted to use to create the property or customer digital file cabinet. Once selected the the integration scripts GET a copy of the data and PUTs it into the KnowledgeControl add form. The user can then modify the data as needed before completing the property or customer creation wizard.
