The DY Realty property inventory is central to the phase one deliverables. DY Realty wants each property to have it's own Public, Extranet and Intranet website.  Since the real estate businesses is cyclical all properties come up for sale and or lease on a regular basis. To empower the brokers of DY Realty with the edge of knowledge, DY management wanted statistics, photos, past transactions, past marketing material all relevant information available for each property for all properties 24/7 via the Internet. The goal was to equip DY Realty brokers with this level of knowledge, and with this knowledge at their finger tips they could win more deals.
 
For each of the 5000+ properties in DY Realty's service area the Webmaster was responsible for building and updating property website for each. To accomplish the mammoth task Informu.com was charged with building the Property Management component of the DY Realty Content Management solution with a wizard and maintenance UI that made the task possible for a single Webmaster in a short amount of time.

Creating a Public, Extranet and Intranet Property Website in 5 minutes
The first task to bring the vision to a reality was developing the technology that empowered the DY Realty Webmaster with a Property Creation Wizard that created a complete Public, Extranet and Intranet website in under 5 minutes. The informu.com team developed a wizard to create the property website in about 5 minutes so that within a few weeks there would be enough Properties in the system to bring value to DY Realty. I keeping with the requirement of quick ROI, informu.com implement a solutions that would bring property websites on line immediately.  
Property Wizard - Public, Extranet & Intranet in 5 minutes. Informu.com, Inc designed and implemented on the KnowledgeControl Multi-Channel Content Management server a custom property wizard. Using the out of the box functionality of KC, some custom scripts and a comprehensive DY property template set Informu.com built a wizard that creates a comprehensive Property Website.
 
The Property Websites that are created by the Wizard in less than 5 minutes have all the components to provide DY Realty users and customers a 360 degree Life Cycle view of every property. The Wizard creates the a website for each property that has the following components:
Public Website Components:
    • Property Listing Pages: The first link to Properties returned all DY Properties available with the Exclusive Properties listed first, sorted in descending order by the "square footage available".  The Non-exclusive properties are listed below the exclusives and are also sorted by square footage available. Each property listing consist of a thumbnail photo which links to a Property Slideshow, the property title, which links to the property detail information webpage, and the property broker's name is linked  to a Request For Information form.  
    • Property Detail Pages: For each property there is a Property Detail information page which is linked from the Property Title of the Property Listing page. The Detail information page offers the user a 320 X 240 photo that links to the Property Slideshow, detailed information about the property, a link to a broker RFI form, a link to a property location map, link to a Printable Brochure, and emailable brochure, a faxable brochure and a wireless brochure. 
    • Property Slideshow: For each property the user is offered a photo slideshow. The Property Slideshow can be one or many photos of the property. The system provides a thumbnail navigation of each photo and Next and Previous links so the user can move from one 640 X 480 photo of the building to the next or return back to the previous.
    • Printable Brochure: The Printable Brochure template is maximized for printing. Layout, color, and channel specific content are factors in the development of the Printable Brochure template.
    • Faxable Brochure: A fax friendly property brochure is produced for all DY Realty Service fax customers. Typically the fax brochure is gray scale with no photos.
    • Emailable Brochure: a Multipart MIME email can be sent to all email customers and accessed by public site users to send to a colleague or friend.
    • Wireless Brochure - DY Services has not yet deployed a wireless template. This option is being considered in future phase.
    • Property Feeds - DY Services has not yet deployed an RSS  template. This option is being considered in future phase.
Extranet & Intranet Components:
  • Property Digital File Cabinets: For each property the Property Wizard create a website that we named the Property Digital File Cabinet. The Digital File Cabinet is where everything about the property is stored: General property information and statistics, past and curent property marketing material, past articles and any other information that might be relevant to the property.
  • Role based Property Intranet: The Property Digital File Cabinets are created so that each KnowledgeControl user that access the Intranet site see all the general information listed above plus the private information specific to them. This means that Brokers, Customers and Leads with current and past transactions specific to a property only has access transactions they are involved in.
  • Transaction Document Library: From each Property Intranet authorized users can initiate from the DY Document and Agreement Library specific transaction based on where they are in the Property/Customer Life Cycle. Each transaction is workflowed based on requirements. The complete transaction Life Cycle is stored and maintained at the Property Intranet website.
  • Management Views: For each Property Digital File Cabinet DY Realty Management has access to all transactions or transactions by user.
