Workflow Features

Publish workflows - Out-of-the-Box KnowledgeControl has 17 Publish workflows. Access to Publish Workflows is based on the users permission. Publish workflows include: Add DB Entry, Edit DB Entry, Remove DB Entry, Approve DB Entry, Evergreen, Messageboard, Preview, New Article, New Product, New Listing, New Business, Upload, Publish this node, Preview

Email Integrated Workflows - To continue to make it easy for business users to participate in content management workflows we have integrated email into the Content Management workflows. Authorized users can opt to send process embedded email assignments to  other  KC Multi-Channel Content Management users. As a KC user the recipient of the process embedded email can participate in the workflow directly from the email. Consider the level of efficiency achieved.

Scaling Workflows - There are several workflows that come as part of the Out-of-the-Box functionality that are for scaling. These workflows give the user the ability to grow or reduce aspects of the node tree, the database sub-types and node templates. These workflows include: Manage Nodes, Manage Node Definitions, and Manage database Sub-types.

User workflows - New KnowledgeControl users are added and assigned permission levels with the Manage User workflow.  The Manage Users workflow manages the user profiles, which includes username and password and it manages the user roles. The user role determines what KnowledgeControl functionality the user has access to.

Role based permissions - Out-of-the-Box KnowledgeControl has 4 different levels of permissions: Administrator, Webmaster, Content manager and Content editor. Each level has access to different functionality based the role in content and process management workflows. Additional roles can be configured and add based on requirements. The administrator and Webmaster usually have access to the Mange User workflow, which manage user profiles and there roles.
